Low Frequency Passive RFID Transponder with Non-revivable Privacy Protection Circuit

چکیده
-A non-revivable Privacy Protection Circuit is proposed and designed in a low frequency passive Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) transponder. The main component of the non-revivable Privacy Protection Circuit is a poly fuse. The fuse acts as a switch and will be burn out when the function of transponder must be disabled. The broken fuse can not be repaired and prohibit the power required for the internal circuits. Thus, the transponder is non-revivable and personal privacy can be fully protected. The carrier frequency of this passive transponder is 125 kHz and the working voltage is 5V. Power and data are transmitted from a reader to the transponder by inductive coupling. The circuits in the transponder including rectifier, clock generator, sequencer, memory, and ASK modulator. The whole chip is designed and verified based on the 0.35 μm semiconductor process provided by the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company. Key-Words: Radio frequency identification (RFID), Poly fuse, Privacy protection, Transponder

Implementation of a 2.45GHz Passive RFID Transponder Chip in 0.18um CMOS
In this paper, a passive 2.45GHz band RFID transponder chip for high data rate communication and with low power consumption has been presented. The passive transponder chip contains five parts: a voltage multiplier converts received RF signal to the DC power supply, a mode selector decides the operating status, a low power dissipation LC-tank voltage control oscillator, a 32-bit read only memor...
متن کاملRFID Integration into a Low Power Sensor Platform
Beyond identification purposes, RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is an elegant way to transmit wireless sensor data. There are several RFID transponder ICs on the market, but for the data read out of the sensors, a low power microcontroller (μC) with a specific functionality is also often a necessary part of the system. So we present an easy way to integrate the functionality of the RFID t...

The varied technologies for trajectory control used in todays automatic vehicle navigation and positioning systems reveal several disadvantages. Low frequency (LF) transponders are used as lane in-ground marks for Autonomous Guided Vehicles (AGV). Those in-ground transponders operate with inductive coupling. Measured transponder positions are compared with map based data which contain reference...
متن کاملAntennas of RFID Tags
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is a rapidly developing technology which uses RF signals for automatic identification of objects. RFID system generally consists of three components: 1) A small electronic data carrying device called a transponder or tag that is attached to the item to be identified, 2) A reader that communicates with the tag using radio frequency signals, 3) A host data pr...
متن کاملRadio frequency identification: technologies, applications, and research issues
A radio frequency identification (RFID) system is a special kind of sensor network to identify an object or a person using radio frequency transmission. A typical RFID system includes transponders (tags) and interrogators (readers): tags are attached to objects/persons, and readers communicate with the tags in their transmission ranges via radio signals. RFID systems have been gaining more and ...
